CELEBRATE #GIVINGTUESDAY TODAY!

We have a day for giving thanks. We have two days for getting the "deals of the season", and now we have #GivingTuesday! #GivingTuesday shows how the world can do much more with our wallets than just consume. 

 

This year, on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 people from all over the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. We are part of a call to action that will change the calendar and help make history. As a #GivingTuesday partner, the Batesville Area Arts Council is participating in this national day of giving. By contributing to BAAC, through monetary donations or volunteering your time, you are helping to further our mission of enriching our community through the arts.

 

The Batesville Area Arts Council has made it a priority this year to serve our local youth whose families normally would not have the resources to give them those opportunities for artistic creation outside of school. We've partnered with several community organizations to identify those individuals who could benefit most from some extra art time. Donors have already stepped up to the plate to sponsor youth to take our workshops, who normally wouldn't be able to do so.

On this year's #GIVINGTUESDAY, we are asking the community to support this effort by sponsoring a student to take one of our monthly workshops by contributing just $10 per child. For every $200 raised, we can offer a FREE workshop for up to 20 kids in our community.
