Kristin L. Murphy

Conway, AR

Kristin L. Murphy is an artist based in Conway, Arkansas, with a lifelong love of creating. Her mom is also an artist, so she naturally picked up skills from her. Growing up, Kristin took watercolor classes from Conway artist, Shelia Parsons. Kristin has a background in graphic design and worked in that field for over a decade.

While working as a designer, she started painting on the side as a way to return to creating art. She hadn’t painted throughout her 20s and found herself wanting to reconnect with the kind of creativity that felt most natural to her.

Watercolor is Kristin's primary medium—it’s where she feels most comfortable. She also paints with acrylic on canvas, leaning into a more abstract impressionist style, while her watercolor paintings tend to focus on finer details. She doesn't like to put herself in a box as an artist; she enjoys painting with different mediums and subject matter.

Kristin offers commissions, original artwork, and fine art prints. She also teaches painting classes that are relaxed and open to all skill levels. Her goal is to create a space where people can explore their creativity without pressure.

Vendor Policy

We aim to create a diverse and exciting selection of products in our shop. To ensure that all vendors and their products align with our mission, we have established the following guidelines and policies for vendor applications:

Eligibility

  • All vendors must be independent artists, makers, or small businesses producing handmade or locally crafted items.

  • We encourage a wide range of products, including but not limited to artwork, jewelry, home décor, candles, pottery, stationery, and accessories.

  • Size limitations: 3d work no larger than 18” in any direction, 2d prints no larger than 18” x 24”, and small framed works no larger than 11” x 14”.

Product Selection

  • We will review all applications on a rolling basis and select items that align with our store's aesthetic and values. We seek a diverse range of items that appeal to a wide audience while maintaining a cohesive look and feel throughout the shop.

  • If your items are selected, you will be contacted for further details.

Pricing and Payment

  • Vendors set their own retail prices, but we may offer guidance on pricing to ensure fair market value for both the artist and the customer.

  • A commission of 40% will be taken from each sale, which helps support operational costs, marketing, and payment processing fees.

  • Payments will be made monthly (if over $20), based on the total sales of your products, minus the commission.

Display and Packaging

  • Products should be packaged appropriately for retail display. Works on paper should be sealed in plastic sleeves with a backing board (mat board or foamcore).

  • We will provide display space for your products. While we will strive to display items in the best possible way, the placement and organization of products are at the discretion of the shop.

Sales and Promotions

  • We actively promote our vendors and their products through our store’s marketing channels, including social media, newsletters, and in-store events. We encourage vendors to promote their involvement in our store on their own platforms as well.

  • Vendors may also be asked to participate in special events, such as art openings, pop-up shops, or seasonal promotions, to further engage with the community.

  • We look forward to collaborating with talented artists and makers who share our commitment to creativity, quality, and community! If you are ready to showcase your work and join our network of artists, please fill out the application form to get started.
