Beginner Crochet Workshop

Learn a relaxing new craft at our Beginner Crochet Workshop! Instructor Victoria Hutcheson will guide you through the fundamental techniques of a basic chain stitch and single crochet stitch. By the end of the session, you'll use your new skills to create a simple and practical washcloth to take home!
All materials are provided, and each participant will receive a 5 mm crochet hook to keep, allowing you to practice your new skills at home. This workshop is recommended for individuals aged 12 and up. Great for total beginners or those wanting a refresher!
Cost: $25 ($20 for BAAC members)

Bring Your Own Craft Night

Looking for a reason to get out, get creative, and connect with other makers? Join us for BAAC CrAfter Hours: Bring Your Own Craft Night at the Work/Shop on Main—a relaxed, welcoming evening dedicated to making art your way.
Bring along any craft project you’re currently working on—knitting, drawing, painting, collage, you name it—and settle in. BAAC will provide wine and light snacks, so you can sip, snack, and create while meeting new friends, swapping ideas, and maybe even learning a new technique or two from fellow crafters.
No project? No problem! For a small fee, BAAC can provide a craft for you. Each month, we’ll offer a rotating selection of projects to choose from, such as collage, watercolor, pastels, and more. This brand-new monthly program is all about community, creativity, and carving out time to make. Come solo or bring a friend—either way, you’ll leave inspired.
Cost: $5 to attend, or $25 if you’d like BAAC to provide a craft project

Intermediate Crochet Workshop
Tuesday, June 16 • 6 - 8 p.m. • Ages 12+

Take your crochet skills to the next level in this hands-on Intermediate Crochet Workshop with instructor Victoria Hutcheson. Perfect for those who already know the basics, this workshop will focus on following patterns and creating the ever-popular granny squares—a foundational building block for countless crochet projects. Attendees need to be familiar with basic crochet skills such as a chain stitch, single crochet and double crochet for this workshop.
By the end of the session, participants will have the skills and confidence to begin crafting their very own granny square tote bag, combining technique with creativity.
All participants will receive a complimentary 5 mm crochet hook to take home, so you can keep practicing and perfecting your skills beyond the workshop.
This class is recommended for ages 12 and up, making it a fun and creative opportunity for both teens and adults to dive deeper into the art of crochet.
Spots are limited, so reserve yours early and get ready to stitch something beautiful!

Summer Art Camp: 4th - 12th grade

Students in grades 4–12 are invited to join us for an inspiring week of creativity with instructor Dustyn Bork! Campers will explore the work of influential artists and experiment with a variety of art techniques throughout the week. Daily snacks will be provided.
Participating students’ artwork will be featured in an exhibition at the BAAC Gallery on Main, August 4–7, with a reception on Friday, August 7, from 5–7 p.m.

Pre-registration and payment are required for all workshops & classes prior to the date of the workshop. Your online registration is complete once it takes you to PayPal, and payment has been made.

If you are unable to make it to the class that you have registered for, please notify the BAAC staff as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to another participant. Registration fees may be reimbursed if notified two weeks before the class is offered. Credit for missed classes is at the discretion of BAAC Staff when notified less than two weeks from the program date.
