The Batesville Area Arts Council will host the seventh annual Artoberfest, an arts and music festival on Main Street, Saturday, October 21, 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. The festival will feature artist booths, live music, art demonstrations, and other family fun activities! This one-day festival is FREE for the community to enjoy thanks to our generous sponsors! This year’s festival is presented by Citizens Bank and sponsored by Wood Family Dealerships, First Community Bank, Bank of Cave City, and Fuller Bumpers Attorney at Law.

Calling Artists & Makers

As part of the festivities, we will feature booths along Main Street for artists and makers to showcase and sell their work, and we want YOU to be part of this! Both spaces are 10' x 10' and cost $30. Tables and chairs are also available to rent for an additional $15 (cost covers 1 table & 2 chairs). Register below to reserve your spot today! Vendor registration deadline is October 16.

Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest

Artoberfest's sidewalk chalk art contest is FREE, family-friendly fun for kids of all ages. The contest will be held Saturday, October 21, on Main Street, Batesville, AR at 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. for the K - 6th grade age group, and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. for the Junior High - College age group. Some sidewalk chalk will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own if you've got a larger group and want to ensure plenty to go around. ALL ATTENDEES MUST BE REGISTERED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST. This ensures that we have enough squares marked off for everyone.

Coloring Contest

To help promote Artoberfest, we are hosting a coloring contest! Click the button below to download and print the coloring page. To enter the contest, return the completed coloring sheet to BAAC (226 E Main Street) by October 14.

 

The top 10 in three categories (K - 3rd grade, 4th - 7th grade, & 8th - 12th grade) will be posted on the BAAC Facebook page for the public to vote for the winners. Voting will take place October 17 - 20 and the winners will be announced October 21.
