Artoberfest
The Batesville Area Arts Council will host the 2025 Artoberfest, an arts and music festival on Main Street, Saturday, October 11, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The festival will feature artist booths, live music, art demonstrations, and other family fun activities. This one-day event is FREE for the community to enjoy!

Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest
Artoberfest's sidewalk chalk art contest is FREE, family-friendly fun for kids of all ages. The contest will be held from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. for the K-6th grade age group, and from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. for the Junior High - College age group. Some sidewalk chalk will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own if you've got a larger group and want to ensure plenty to go around. ALL ATTENDEES MUST BE REGISTERED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST. This ensures that we have enough squares marked off for everyone.
