
2025 Student Art Exhibitions
The Batesville Area Arts Council’s Gallery on Main shared artwork created by local students in our Summer Art Camp. This exhibition featured the work of Kindergarten through 12th-grade students, was displayed August 5-15.
During Art Camp, this group of students learned a variety of art techniques, including frottage, frescos, linear perspective, and printmaking with instructor Dustyn Bork, Lyon College summer intern Rylee Smith, and volunteers Rylie Wittaker and Alexis Santos.
Thanks to the John Herman Hickman Foundation and First Community Bank for sponsoring the BAAC Summer Art Camp, and to Batesville Printing for donating all of our prints for this program. The Arts in Education Program is supported in part by the Arkansas Arts Council, which is an agency of the AR Department of Heritage & the National Endowment for the Arts.

Kindergarten through 3rd-grade students' artwork was featured in an exhibition from August 5-8. This group of students learned about artists Paul Klee, Jackson Pollock, George Seurat, Antoni Gaudí, and Constantin Brâncuși. Participants created projects inspired by these artists using a variety of art techniques.
Students in 4th through 12th grade were featured in an exhibition from August 12-15. This group of students learned about artists Sister Corita Kent, Constantin Brâncuși, Jim Dine, Hilma af Klint, Georgia O’Keeffe, Edgar Degas, and Richard Mayhew.
