John & Donna Saltzman Scholarship

Through the collaborative effort of BAAC with the Batesville Community Theatre, the John & Donna Saltzman Memorial Scholarship was established. John & Donna were both a proponent of all of the arts and worked with students and adults in our community for over twenty years. His devotion to theater and the arts set him apart in the fast paced world in which we live. He truly was someone who stopped to smell the roses and enriched the lives of others in the process. We are proud to honor John, and now his wife, Donna Wallace Saltzman, by supporting two outstanding students that have exemplified good citizenship and remarkable accomplishments in the arts. 

This scholarship provides financial support for deserving students seeking higher education in the field of arts and/or humanities. This scholarship is offered each year to both Batesville and Southside School Districts to encourage students to continue their education. These scholarship awards are presented to students at the school’s awards ceremony each spring.
