The Batesville Area Arts Council will host the sixth annual Artoberfest, an arts and music festival on Main Street, Saturday, October 22, 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. The festival will feature over 35 local and regional artist vendors, art demonstrations, Live music by Ed Casper, Luke Middleton, and Osage Water Band, along with other family fun activities! 

​​Artoberfest will also feature a sidewalk chalk art contest. This competition aims to engage students, teachers, families, community groups, and others by creating temporary public art. Trophies will be awarded to the top designs in two age groups, Kindergarten - 6th grade and Junior High - College. K - 6th grade students will compete 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and Jr. High - College students will compete from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. All contestants must pre-register to compete. This one-day festival is FREE for the community to enjoy thanks to our generous sponsors! This year’s festival is presented by Citizens Bank and sponsored by First Community Bank, Southern Bank, and Bank of Cave City.
 

Artoberfest Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest

Artoberfest's sidewalk chalk art contest is FREE, family-friendly fun for kids of all ages. The contest will be held Saturday, October 22, on Main Street, Batesville, AR at 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. for the K - 6th grade age group, and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. for the Junior High - College age group. Some sidewalk chalk will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own if you've got a larger group and want to ensure plenty to go around. ALL ATTENDEES MUST BE REGISTERED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST. This ensures that we have enough squares marked off for everyone.
