Juror:

Carey Voss is an Arkansas artist and Curator of Exhibits at Historic Arkansas Museum in Little Rock. Her educational background is in the fine arts (she holds an MFA in painting), but she spends most of her creative time producing exhibits that focus on the history and material culture of Arkansas. Carey is passionate about making things by hand, and about the handmade thing in all its forms. She describes herself as an “accidental historian” because she loves learning about the cultural forces that shaped objects from the past, but making stuff and talking about contemporary art with other artists and craftspeople is still her favorite activity.
